Privacy Policy

HoldIt is developed and published by Mustafa Can Erdem under the Cobalative name (“Cobalative,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the HoldIt mobile application.

01 Information Stored on Your Device

HoldIt allows you to measure, name, and save press-and-hold records.

The following information may be stored locally on your device:

  • Hold duration
  • Record name entered by you
  • Selected button
  • Record creation date and time
  • Language and sound preferences
  • Advertising frequency information
  • Whether a verified Remove Ads purchase is currently available

This information is used only to provide the app’s functionality. Cobalative does not operate a user account system or server that receives your saved HoldIt records.

Names or other text you enter into a record remain on your device unless you independently share them outside the app.

You can delete your records using the Delete All Records option in HoldIt. Uninstalling the app also removes locally stored app data, subject to device backups managed by Apple.

02 Advertising

HoldIt uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process information including:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
  • Device or app identifiers
  • Advertising data
  • Advertisement views, clicks, and other interactions
  • App performance information
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information
  • Information used to detect fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising activity

Google may use this information to provide, personalize, measure, secure, and improve advertising services, depending on your location, device settings, and consent choices.

03 Consent and Privacy Choices

HoldIt uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (“UMP”) to request and manage advertising consent where required by law.

Depending on your region, you may be asked whether you consent to personalized advertising or certain data processing activities. If privacy options are required in your region, a Privacy Choices option will appear in the app’s Settings screen so that you can review or change your choices.

If consent for personalized advertising is not available, HoldIt may display non-personalized or limited advertisements where supported.

The current version of HoldIt does not request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt to access the device’s advertising identifier.

04 In-App Purchases

HoldIt offers an optional, one-time Remove Ads purchase.

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Cobalative does not receive or store your payment card number, billing credentials, or Apple Account password.

HoldIt checks verified transaction and entitlement information supplied by Apple to determine whether advertisements should be removed and to restore previous purchases.

Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy:

05 Cookies and Similar Technologies

HoldIt does not operate a conventional website-based cookie system inside the app.

However, Google AdMob and its partners may use device identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies for advertising, consent storage, fraud prevention, frequency management, and measurement, where permitted by law and your privacy choices.

06 Information Sharing

Cobalative does not sell your locally saved HoldIt records.

Information processed through advertising or purchasing services may be handled by:

  • Google and its advertising partners, for advertising and related purposes
  • Apple, for App Store purchases, transaction verification, and platform services
  • Service providers required for security, legal compliance, or app operation

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and legal responsibilities.

07 Data Retention

Locally stored HoldIt records and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Purchase history and verified transaction information are retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies.

Advertising, consent, diagnostic, and related information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s policies and your applicable privacy choices.

08 Children’s Privacy

HoldIt is intended for a general audience and is not designed or directed specifically to children under 13 or to children below the minimum age requiring parental consent in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly operate a system that collects personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a service connected to HoldIt, please contact us.

09 Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent for personal information.

Because HoldIt records are stored locally, Cobalative normally does not possess a server-side copy of those records. You can manage them directly inside the app.

You can:

  • Delete all saved records from HoldIt Settings
  • Change advertising privacy choices from the Privacy Choices option where available
  • Restore or manage purchases through Apple
  • Adjust advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings
  • Contact us with a privacy request

Requests concerning information held directly by Google or Apple may need to be submitted to the relevant company.

10 International Processing

Google, Apple, and their service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Such processing is subject to their respective safeguards, privacy policies, and applicable law.

11 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to HoldIt’s limited data processing.

However, no device, storage system, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when HoldIt’s features, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change.

The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated inside the app where appropriate.
